Malibu based oil painter, Lori Mills, has been oil painting California since she was thirteen years old. Lori blends her oil painting skills with five decades of Los Angeles living to bring about a perfect marriage of her two passions. Lori’s evolution into oil painting allows her to introduce an element to this union and extend the range of her talent even further. Her use of emotion to incite passion in her work has allowed Lori to challenge the boundaries of oil painting - utilizing weightlessness to tell stories, and explore the depths of movement and composition.
Lori is the owner of Malibu Contemporary Art Gallery. Lori holds a degree in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute, a BS in Anatomy from UCLA, an MBA from USD and is a current member of MENSA.
